The National Gallery of Ireland: The National Gallery first opened its doors to the
public in January 1864 and today the collection boasts over 2,440 paintings, 5,230

Christ Church Cathedral was founded in around 1030AD by the Viking king of Dublin and the city’s first bishop. It is located in the former heart of mediaeval Dublin and is of central historical significance to the city. As part of the tour, you can also visit Dublinia and the Viking World.
Kilmainham Jail first opened in 1796. Its historic importance was assured by the men and women who were held or died here for their nationalist ideals. Empty of prisoners since 1924, it is filled with history. It has aptly been described as the 'Irish Bastille'.
The Chester Beatty Library, voted European Museum of the Year in 2002, houses a collection of manuscripts and artistic treasures from the great cultures and religions of the world dating back to 2700 BC.
Weekend Activities:
Kenilworth organises excursions out of Dublin City every Saturday during the summer months to places such as Howth, Bray or Malahide Castle. During the rest of the academic year, weekend excursions are optional and not generally included in the course fee.
One-
Glendalough and Powerscourt Gardens, Kilkenny city or Newgrange are all within an hour and a half drive of Dublin.
Two-
Galway and the Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry or Donegal. All of Ireland is easily accessible from Dublin, only a few hours away by bus or train. And you can still be back in time for class on Monday.
