Requisitos del MEC - 2011
•Tener entre 18 y 30 años
•Hacer como mínimo un curso de 3 semanas, con un mínimo de 15 horas lectivas semanales
• El curso debe tener lugar entre el 1 de Junio y el 30 de Noviembre del 2011.
• Haber sido ya becario en el curso anterior (con Becas MEC de Convocatoria General, Becas MEC de acceso a estudios universitarios, Becas MEC de movilidad o Becas MEC de Másteres Oficiales)
• Es muy sencillo reservar el curso. Una vez hayas recibido el Cupón de Respuesta del Ministerio, sólo tienes que enviárnoslo por email junto con el formulario de inscripción de Kenilworth Language Institute. Al finalizar el curso, recibirás 2 certificados de nuestra escuela: uno para ti y el otro para que lo envíes al Ministerio y completar así el proceso de la beca.

 

Kenilworth Language Institute has great offers for Spanish students availing of the MEC grants in 2011. We would like to welcome all Spanish students who obtain the Beca from the MEC and want to attend a high-quality English course in a fun, friendly learning environment in Ireland.

Kenilworth Language Institute is ideally located in Dublin and our teachers are all highly-qualified and experienced. We organise varied and exciting programmes of social and cultural activities and we can also provide a range of accommodation options for you. You can book at any time of the year (with or without accommodation) for a minimum period of 3 weeks.

 

Our MEC Grant Programmes include:

• 20 hours of English classes a week from 9.30am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday.
• Accommodation placement with an Irish host family or Residence.
• Free Social and Cultural Programme and Free Induction tour of Dublin city centre.
• Free internet and WIFI access.
• Free access to Self-Study Centre, guided E-learning and Resource Library.
• All Course materials
• End of course certificate detailing student’s level according to the Council of Europe Framework. You will be given two copies of the certificate, one for you and one to give to the ministry to claim you MEC grant.

 

Morning English Programme

Classes in the morning focus on reading, writing, listening and speaking with an emphasis on a communicative use of the language.

Afternoon Self-Access Study

During the afternoons, a member of the academic staff can guide students in availing of our Computer Station and Self-Access Study centre. We have a syllabus of CD-ROMs and internet language learning resources and our Study Centre contains a range of supplementary course books, readers, dictionaries, DVDs and resources for out-of-class study which can also be borrowed for home use.

Cultural/Social Programme

Throughout the academic year during the afternoons, Kenilworth offers a minimum of one cultural excursion a week and a minimum of one film afternoon a week. During the High Season in summer we have a programme of daily cultural and sports activities for all students.

Evening Exam Preparation Classes

Students wishing to prepare specifically for Cambridge First Certificate or other exams are also free to attend our evening exam preparation classes.

Accommodation

If you require accommodation, Kenilworth can offer a range of accommodation options, the most popular of which is Homestay which gives students lots of chances to speak English and experience Irish culture. We can also arrange residential accommodation in modern Student Self-Catering apartments. In addition, there are several excellent hostels and hotels near the school.
